NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA) is proud to announce the return of its local shopping campaign, Homegrown Holidays, as part of its ongoing efforts to support small businesses during and beyond the holiday season.

Those who shop at one of the participating stores located across seven high-impact disinvested New Orleans corridors, including Algiers, Gentilly, Gert Town, Hollygrove, Lower Ninth Ward, New Orleans East, and Tremé, between Small Business Saturday (Nov. 25) and New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31) will be eligible to win between $50 – $200 in cash or prizes.
With over 1,000 small businesses combined, these communities have been identified as the primary focus of NOLABA’s Strategic Neighborhood Development initiative to advance commercial revitalization efforts through direct funding and technical support to local businesses.

As many local business owners continue to rebound and move forward in the post-pandemic economy, NOLABA encourages shoppers to support them over corporate chains this holiday season by purchasing homegrown and uniquely New Orleans gifts for loved ones and friends.

“We’re incredibly proud to re-launch Homegrown Holidays this year to increase foot traffic and sales revenue within each of these core communities,” said Interim President & CEO of NOLABA Louis David. “These small businesses have so much to offer shoppers but often lack the resources or capacity to market their products to a larger audience. With this campaign, we hope to introduce residents to some hidden gems in their neighborhoods and keep more of our dollars local this holiday season to help jumpstart the success of participating and surrounding stores, as well as the entire city of New Orleans, heading into 2024.”
