Rocketing Your Revenue with NASA

NASA Contractors Small Business New Orleans Procurement

The New Orleans Business Alliance and NASA’s Office of Small Business Programs opened registration today for a conference designed to help small business earn contracts with the space agency and its prime contractors.

“Rocketing Your Revenue” brings NASA centers to New Orleans entrepreneurs and small business owners. The following Centers will attend:

  • The Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans East,
  • NASA Shared Services Center at Stennis,
  • Stennis Space Center, and
  • Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer Program.

Conference to Help Small Businesses Partner with Space Agency and Major Corporate Contractors

At the one-day event, NASA officials will teach businesses how to secure supplier, subcontractor and service-provider contracts with government agencies and large corporate suppliers. Business owners will connect one-on-one and earn exclusive access to prime contractors:

  • Aerojet Rocketdyne;
  • The Boeing Company;
  • Jacobs;
  • Lockheed Martin Commercial & Civil Space;
  • Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems;
  • SAIC;
  • Syncom Space Services, Inc. (S3); and
  • Teledyne Brown Engineering. 

“New Orleans is home to the rockets that have powered human travel into space,” said Quentin Messer, Jr., president & CEO of the New Orleans Business Alliance. “We’re excited to work with NASA to bring Rocketing Your Revenue to New Orleans so that we can power the growth of local businesses operating in sectors as diverse as aerospace, professional services and software development.”

The event takes place at the University of New Orleans University Center on Thursday., June 13, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“In the world of business today, building relationships is a major key to success, and its events like the ‘Rocketing Your Revenue with NASA’ that will afford businesses opportunities to forge new relationships,” said David E. Brock, Small Business Specialist at NASA. “Remember, you’ve got to make contacts to make contracts!”

Local technical assistance providers will be on hand to provide information regarding procurement opportunities and how to register as a disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE).
